Colonel Autumn rulings

2024-03-08
A creature with exploit “exploits a creature” when the controller of an exploit ability sacrifices a creature as that ability resolves.
2024-03-08
You choose whether to sacrifice a creature and which creature to sacrifice as an exploit ability resolves.
2024-03-08
You can sacrifice the creature with exploit if it’s still on the battlefield. If it has an ability that triggers when it exploits a creature (or, in this case, when any creature you control exploits a creature), that ability will trigger.
2024-03-08
If Colonel Autumn isn’t on the battlefield as an exploit ability of a creature you control resolves, Colonel Autumn’s last ability won’t trigger. You won’t get +1/+1 counters, even if you sacrifice a creature.
2024-03-08
You can’t sacrifice more than one creature to any one exploit ability.

Colonel Autumn keyword rules

Lifelink Rule 702.15

Lifelink is a static ability.

Damage dealt by a source with lifelink causes that source’s controller, or its owner if it has no controller, to gain that much life (in addition to any other results that damage causes). See rule .

If an object changes zones before an effect causes it to deal damage, its last known information is used to determine whether it had lifelink.

The lifelink rules function no matter what zone an object with lifelink deals damage from.

If multiple sources with lifelink deal damage at the same time, they cause separate life gain events (see rules –10).

Multiple instances of lifelink on the same object are redundant.
