Ethersworn Shieldmage rulings

2009-05-01
When Ethersworn Shieldmage’s triggered ability resolves, it doesn’t lock in which permanents will be affected. For the rest of the turn, any time damage would be dealt to a permanent, check whether it’s an artifact creature at that time. If it is, that damage is prevented.

Flash Rule 702.8

Flash is a static ability that functions in any zone from which you could play the card it’s on. “Flash” means “You may play this card any time you could cast an instant.”

Multiple instances of flash on the same object are redundant.
