Foggy Swamp Spirit Keeper rulings

2025-10-02
The triggered ability can trigger only once each turn. It doesn't matter whether Foggy Swamp Spirit Keeper was on the battlefield when the first card was drawn. If it's not on the battlefield when the second card is drawn, the ability can't trigger at all that turn. It won't trigger when the third or fourth card is drawn.
2025-10-02
If an effect instructs you to draw multiple cards, the ability triggers after you draw whichever is the second one for the turn. It goes on the stack after you've drawn and looked at all the cards and finished resolving the spell or ability that caused you to draw them.

If a card or ability instructs you to put cards into your hand without specifically using the word "draw," it's not a card drawn.

Foggy Swamp Spirit Keeper keyword rules

Lifelink Rule 702.15

Lifelink is a static ability.

Damage dealt by a source with lifelink causes that source’s controller, or its owner if it has no controller, to gain that much life (in addition to any other results that damage causes). See rule .

If an object changes zones before an effect causes it to deal damage, its last known information is used to determine whether it had lifelink.

The lifelink rules function no matter what zone an object with lifelink deals damage from.

If multiple sources with lifelink deal damage at the same time, they cause separate life gain events (see rules –10).

Multiple instances of lifelink on the same object are redundant.
