Skystrike Officer rulings

2022-10-14
Since Skystrike Officer's activated ability doesn't have a tap symbol in its cost, you can tap creatures that haven't been under your control since your most recent turn began (including Skystrike Officer itself if you'd like) to pay the cost.

Skystrike Officer keyword rules

Flying Rule 702.9

Flying is an evasion ability.

A creature with flying can’t be blocked except by creatures with flying and/or reach. A creature with flying can block a creature with or without flying. (See rule , “Declare Blockers Step,” and rule , “Reach.”)

Multiple instances of flying on the same creature are redundant.
