Astrologian's Planisphere rulings

2025-06-06
You may pay the Equipment's equip cost as normal to move it from the Hero token to another creature you control.
2025-06-06
If the Hero token is destroyed, the Equipment stays on the battlefield.
2025-06-06
Astrologian's Planisphere doesn't need to have been attached to a creature you control when the first or second card is drawn for the granted ability to trigger. As long as a creature you control has the granted ability when you draw your third card in a turn, that ability will trigger.
2025-06-06
If the job select ability causes two Hero tokens to be created (due to an effect such as that of Doubling Season), the Equipment becomes attached to only one of them.
2025-06-06
The Hero token enters as a 1/1 creature, then the Equipment becomes attached to it. Abilities that trigger when a creature enters the battlefield see that a 1/1 creature entered the battlefield.

Astrologian's Planisphere keyword rules

Equip Rule 702.6

Equip is an activated ability of Equipment cards. “Equip [cost]” means “[Cost]: Attach this permanent to target creature you control. Activate only as a sorcery.”

For more information about Equipment, see rule , “Artifacts.”

Equip abilities may further restrict what creatures may be chosen as legal targets. Such restrictions usually appear in the form “Equip [quality]” or “Equip [quality] creature.” These equip abilities may legally target only a creature that’s controlled by the player activating the ability and that has the chosen quality. Additional restrictions for an equip ability don’t restrict what the Equipment may be attached to.

If a permanent has multiple equip abilities, any of its equip abilities may be activated.

“Equip planeswalker” is a variant of the equip ability. “Equip planeswalker [cost]” means “[Cost]: Attach this permanent to target planeswalker you control as though that planeswalker were a creature. Activate only as a sorcery.”
