Bartered Cow

three generic mana one white mana Creature — OxPower and toughness3/3

When this creature dies and when you discard this card, create a Food token. (It's an artifact with " two generic mana , tap this permanent , Sacrifice this token: You gain 3 life.")

At the market, no one heeded Hilda's frantic mooing. The fae curse was turning out even worse than she had feared.

Bartered Cow rulings

2024-11-08
Food is an artifact type. Even though it appears on some creatures, it's never a creature type.
2024-11-08
You can't sacrifice a Food to pay multiple costs. For example, you can't sacrifice a Food token to activate its own ability and also to activate Maraleaf Rider's ability.
2024-11-08
Whatever you do, don't eat the delicious cards.
2019-10-04
Bartered Cow's ability is a triggered ability, not an activated ability. It doesn't allow you to discard it or sacrifice it whenever you want; rather, you need some other way of discarding it or causing it to die.
