Bearer of Silence rulings

2016-01-22
Bearer of Silence's triggered ability targets only the player, not any creature. For example, the player may sacrifice a creature with hexproof.

Players can respond to the triggered ability, but once it starts resolving and you decide whether to pay , it's too late for anyone to respond.

A creature with flying can’t be blocked except by creatures with flying and/or reach. A creature with flying can block a creature with or without flying. (See rule , “Declare Blockers Step,” and rule , “Reach.”)

Multiple instances of flying on the same creature are redundant.
